A Fujifilm Camera and Lens Kit for Wedding Photographers

Fujifilm's mirrorless cameras are highly respected for their design, capabilities, and innovative features, and they have become the system of choice for many wedding photographers. This great video essay features a wedding photographer taking you through the Fujifilm cameras, lenses, and accessories he uses for the big day.

Coming to you from John Branch IV Photography, this excellent video details a complete Fujifilm kit for wedding photographers. While it has a lot of great features, I think the biggest advantage of the Fujifilm X Series is actually its size. Many wedding photographers used to shoot only with full frame simply because of the low-light demands of the genre, but of course, the bigger sensor, the bigger the camera and the heavier the lenses, and in a genre that often demands you be on your feet for 12 hours or even more, every ounce makes a difference. Nowadays, a modern APS-C sensor can tackle the needs of the majority of photographers, and the size and weight savings are often significant when you add up everything that goes into a full kit. And with the newest sensor, you have the option of high-resolution images as well. Check out the video above for the full rundown.

I have a problem with the XT5 ergonomics which people don’t seem to pick up, and is much better on XH2 - I can’t look through the viewfinder without having the camera at 45 degrees to my face, which feels uncomfortable. If it’s straight on my nose would be squashed flat. The xpros with their ovf on the left side of the body completely resolves this and feels much less intrusive, the GFX and XH2s seem to have a deeper vf which again resolves this. It’s probably my main gripe with the camera.
