In this video, Glyn Dewis effortlessly explains how he manages to capture the iconic Prince of Wales bridge spanning the border between Wales and England. As a proud Welshman, this was intriguing to me, and as a photographer this is engaging and really shows the potential that mobile technology has to be able to improve the availability and quality of immediate photography.
Moving towards more mobile solutions isn't a bad thing. I carry quite a lot of kit for a shoot and sometimes, this means that when I want to go and shoot for myself, I just want the smallest, lightest kit available. Previously I would never have thought that using any mobile technology devices would be a solution for getting great images but I'm personally using the iPhone 13 Pro Max more and more now (and not just for selfies of my dogs and me either!)
He mentions the kit used including the SmallRig Universal Mobile Phone Handheld Video Rig and the Even Longer App for iPhone plus he also mentions the Joby Griptight Smart mount.
His explanation of editing is incredibly easy to follow and detailed. Using Lightroom Mobile and an iPad Pro means everything is synchronized automatically.
Dewis's epic teaching method and explanations make this an ideal tutorial if you're thinking of adding a mobile workflow to your personal projects. He also mentions how he prints his final image and what paper he uses.
