Classic San Francisco view with low fog

Fog in San Francisco is something special, especially in late summer/fall when fog gives us breaks from heat waves. When the fog hits a certain height to be just below the tips of the Golden gate bridge, the photographer community in the bay area gets so excited. This event only happens a handful of times a year, and nowadays is known among the photography community as an LFE ("Low fog event").

This photo was taken at sunrise from Hawk Hill, on one of those special LFE days. Waking up at 4:30, driving to Hawk hill with low visibility at the roads due to fog and waiting for the gates to open and rushing to get the shot all fades away after seeing the end result. Such an amazing experience I highly recommend, even if you're not into photography.
